FAM Inc. is a new organization that aims to show the benefits of technology, and how technology can change the lives of people around the world. We believe that this is possible through working together as a unit to create software that will make people’s live around the world easier.
Mission
To create a software that educates, informs, and inspires.
Problem Statement
The sociological community currently has no way to easily compare the ideals of various sociologists to one another as well as to the ideals of ones’ self. Thus, individuals must go through the time-consuming process of looking at the ideals of each sociologist then conducting comparisons.
Project Goal
- Create a tool that will reduce the time to compare sociologist theories.
- Create a tool that allows users to graphically see comparisons of sociologists theories.
- Create a tool allows users to compare themselves to sociologists.
Project Objectives
- Time of conducting comparisons is completed after answering a series of survey questions and submitting them to the system to generate the graphical comparison.
- View a 2-Dimensional scatter plot diagram comparing the answers of the users to the answers of various sociologists after submitting answers.
- System compares user ideals to the theorist using survey questions that are directly related to sociologists. Once answered the survey answers are compared and a 2-Dimensional scatter plot comparison graph is generated.
Project Scope and Environment
- Allow individuals to take survey and display a graphical comparison of the user to various sociologists.
- Allow individuals to change their survey answers and save their results.
- Allow administrators to add new sociologists.
- Academic setting for sociology students and faculty at Westminster College, MO.
- Capable of being used by sociology students anywhere..

System Test Plan
- Controlled Environment.
- Test Data.
- Create basic user accounts and survey creator accounts for testing.
- Test all functions of the program using the created accounts.
System Installation Plan
- Launch of the software will occur after completion of testing and all the client requirements are met.
- Direct cut-off method.
- Very little risk due to there being no true system in place for comparing sociologists to each other and to users.
Project Management
- Work Division.
- Meeting with Client.
- Meeting with Project Director.
